The state of the nation

Let’s face it, web 3 user experience is on the whole BAD. And I mean bad, bad. Not bad, good.

At Alluo our mission is to democratise financial services, to level a pretty tilted playing field. And we’re starting by bringing DeFi to the mass market.

What do we plan to do about it?

If you want the full low-down on our mission and Product Roadmap, check out our earlier piece here.

One key component of bringing DeFi to the mass market is making it usable by that mass market.

To this point, one of our 3 key focus areas this quarter is usability and app functionality 😊. Our latest web-app release marks the 1st step in this journey of journey improvements (sorry, not sorry).

UI & Gnosis Release: Monday 26th September

TL;DR

The core usability goal we’re aiming for is to make the app easier to navigate and try to simplify what can be a complex space (even for pro-users).

To help here, this release made it easier to navigate around our Polygon and Mainnet farms and we integrated with @Safe / (previously known as gnosis safe).

So what does it look like?

The new look web-app 😎

Overall, the visual layout has been subtly improved and the links in our footer have been updated so it’s clearer and easier to find out more about us, our community and our policies. We’ve also added intercom support to the site, giving customers more choices of where to get help in addition to Discord, Twitter, and Telegram.

But most importantly from a UX point of view, we’ve added a variety of ways you can filter our farms to make it more personalised and simpler to find what you want within the app.

🪙 ⛓️ Filtering by tokens and Networks

We’ve made it easier to hone in on the farms you want to take a look at as you can now filter by token and network.

Selecting All Tokens reveals a drop-down list of all tokens that can be deposited in our farms, allowing you to see the most relevant farms for the tokens you hold.

Similarly, you can also choose to only view the farms available on Polygon or Etherium mainnet, further simplifying the list to those most relevant to where you hold your tokens.

👨‍🌾 Your farms

Once you’ve connected your wallet you can now also choose to view the farms you’ve invested in from the “Your farms” tab. As per the “All farms” tab you can see your % share of the farm, the total TVL in the farm, your balance total, and the % APY you’re earning.

Keep an eye out for more changes to come on this page to increase the information customers can get at a glance. 👀

🔒 Gnosis safe

The last big change to making things easier for customers is our integration with Safe (previously gnosis safe).

Integrating with Safe means we’ll appear on the Safe app page (nicely sat among some big names like 1inch and Aave 👌), helping raise awareness for Alluo.

Once approved and we’re up on the page it’ll also allow safe customers to directly link to Alluo directly from Safe and use their safe wallet to use Alluo.

As an additional benefit, this integration also means we have a new modal on the Alluo web-app that helps give a bit more information about connecting your wallet to Alluo.

How do I learn more?

Well, that’s pretty much most things covered. BUT if you want to find out more:

  • Take a look around the web app (app.alluo.finance)
  • Jump in the discord, telegram, Twitter or intercom at app.alluo.finance and ask away
